I put on my jacket at work today, my brown dickies jacket, there is nothing special about it, though i guess you dont see many brown ones, i get a few compliments on it. But i hardly wear it, but i wore it today because, well because it was cold thats why! And i didnt notice it at first, it was really subtle, not overpowering or intoxicating....
I was having a terrible "work day" everything else about my day was fine, i was well rested, i even got up at 545 and ran a mile on my treadmill. But work, work was not so good, trucks breaking down is never a good thing, esp at 9 in the morning! so work was no good......
But thats about the time i noticed what was different about my plain brown Dickies jacket. It smelled good. not like fabric softner, or detergent or my cologne, it was better than that. It smelled like a girl, not just any girl but a close friend that is pretty special to me....
So that's where the memory came in, we saw a movie together, she was cold, she wore my jacket. It was more like a blanket on her, im about 4 times her size, shes a little thing. It was a good movie, it had a good message, it touched both of our hearts, and we both were very real with eachother and with God. Its a very special memory.........Of a very special friend........ and a very real God........ and a yummy smelling perfume!
